Manleys Court - Dunkeswell
A select development of two large 5 bedroomed detached properties with thatched roofs, plus one further large 5 bedroomed detached house with a slate roof, in the wonderfully peaceful and highly desirable location of East Devon with panoramic views of the Blackdown Hills.

The quality of workmanship and spaciousness of these beautifully built houses are the features that led Sylvan Developments to be nominated and short-listed for the 2003 West Country Publications Luxury Homes Award, as well as being built within a beautiful and picturesque location that has to be seen to be appreciated.

This site was a pleasure to work on from the start. Making full use of an area of land that had just been left barren and derelict and an eyesore of wilderness to the surrounding community, it has now been transformed, with the villagers' blessing, into the building of three substantial properties all set within their own idyllic landscaped gardens, with a frontal view overlooking the Blackdown Hills.

Our aim was to give the units the character and aesthetics of a typical Devonshire village style property with all the mod-cons to provide a luxury living accommodation. We utilised traditional and in-keeping materials to make the development blend into the existing village and surrounding areas.

Site was completed in 2003.
